Darian wakeboarding
We spent a fun week at Lake Powell with my side of the family. We stayed at motels in Page and set up a day camp on the beach at an area called Lone Rock. The weather was hot which felt great because the water was a chilly 66 degrees. It hasn't had time to warm up yet. We put 30 hours on our boat in 4 days! That's a lot of time out on the water...just how we like it. We enjoyed skiing, wakeboarding, surfing, and cliff jumping.

We found an awesome cliff to jump off of. It was about 50 feet high! Those who jumped had to take a running start to clear the edge. Scary!

My niece, Kailey was scared and took a long time to jump. Just as her boyfriend jumped, a park ranger came zipping around the corner and caught them. It is illegal to jump off of anything higher than 15 feet at Powell. After an interrogation and check to make sure they weren't felons, he let them go with a warning. The ticket would have been $250 per person! We stopped cliff jumping after that.

Lake Powell is one of my favorite places on earth. I think the Bullfrog side is prettier than the Wahweap side. It has more of the giant orange rock canyon walls and coves. If you haven't been there, check it out! It's gorgeous!
